Webzines Promotes Corporate Initiatives
JPMorgan Chase’s Webzine, nCite, includes original feature articles written by award-winning business writers, company executives, and editorial staff. Each issue combines engaging graphics with thought-provoking content highlighting company strategy and challenges, a feature on a line of business, leadership communication, news roundup, and a productivity profile on team efforts for efficiency. Reader surveys and feedback links provided measurement on readership along with monthly statistics. Distributed over the company’s Intranet, nCite has been recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators with an Award of Excellence along with an Ace Award from the New York chapter.
When Olsten Health Services reengineered and upgraded its information systems infrastructure, it presented an opportunity for management to set an example and lead the organization into the digital communication era by turning its paper-based newsletter, OHS Dimensions, into a monthly, online publication. As time-to-market on new products and services became a more critical factor, the company needed a vehicle to connect and explain these new initiatives to employees in the field. The newsletter was used to “showcase” the company’s new Intranet by linking to new sites and resources as they came online. In converting Dimensions into an online publication we were able to increase readership through improved communications, graphics, and technology. The new look and online format created an image that reflected the company’s strategic direction and provided a powerful business tool. Dimensions became a conduit for knowledge recognized throughout the organization. Web design development and publishing services for these
sites were provided by Business Communication Design.
